Engineered trekking poles to prevent common breakage

The TiCarbon Trekking Poles by Vargo have a lower section made of super-strong titanium to provide strength where it matters most. Most lightweight trekking poles are made of carbon fiber, which, when overloaded sideways, can bend and break. The lower section of a trekking pole is the most common area to fail due to wedged tips, rock impacts, and taking the brunt of the impact when you trip on trail (gravity happens). Vargo solved this problem by reinforcing the lower section with Grade 9 titanium (Ti-3Al-2.5V), the same alloy found in aerospace tubing and high-performance bike frames. This allows the lower section of the poles to shrug off rock strikes, resist dents, and flex rather than snap. The upper section remains made out of carbon fiber so you can move fast with a light, comfortable swing. These are premium trekking poles designed to combine lightweight performance with unmatched durability.

Features:

  • Collapsible telescoping with clamp locks for easy length adjustment
  • Carbon on the upper half for speed and titanium below for strength
  • Reinforced lower section to prevent common breakage
  • Hybrid construction: Carbon for speed, titanium for strength
  • Ultralight feel with improved trail reliability
  • Durable carbide tips
  • Comfortable, ergonomic cork grip
