The Starter Hammock is a complete package designed for those who are new to hammock camping and want a simple, affordable way to get started.
Rather than trying to sort through every hammock and suspension option before you've spent time in one, the Starter Hammock gives you a complete setup for gaining experience and learning what works best for you.
As your hammock setup evolves, it also makes a great spare or loaner hammock for introducing friends and family to hammock camping.

Choosing Your Hammock Length

Ridgeline Options
Fixed Ridgeline — Provides a consistent amount of hammock sag each time you set up.
Adjustable Ridgeline — Allows you to experiment with different ridgeline lengths and fine-tune the amount of hammock sag to your preference.
Suspension Options
Cinch Buckle Suspension — A simple and intuitive suspension system using polyester tree straps and cinch buckles for quick adjustment.
Whoopie Sling Suspension — A lighter suspension system using adjustable AmSteel Whoopie Slings, polyester tree straps, and aluminum toggles or carabiners.
