Paul Cronshaw on his PCT section hike from Lake Tahoe to Ashland reports that: "Still in my sleeping bag, I used it every day, with an esbit to heat water for my oatmeal breakfast; at dinner I used biomass twigs to prepare meals. I loved the way it left a zero ash footprint, unlike many of the hideous fire pits. A great stove for the PCT!"

Наверное, это связано, прежде всего, с бóльшим объёмом печки. Больше дров помещается, и, следовательно, легче поддерживать стабильное горение. Благодаря широкому основанию печка также стоит на земле более устойчиво, а высокие стенки лучше направляют поток тепла именно ко днищу котла. Однако каждая печка рассчитана на определённую модель котелка. Как видно, у ребят диаметр котелка не совпадает с диаметром печки, из-за чего он стоит неустойчиво.
