Description
Foliage color swatch

Color note: The current color is Foliage, as shown in the swatch. The floor in the photos is brown.

Description

This lightweight bathtub floor hangs from your tarp's corners. It works with our 1P Cirriform Tarp (shown) and most A-frame style tarps.

  • Clips to your tarp
Included rigging connects the top corners of the tub to your tarp's corners.
  • Recycled fabric
20D Silpoly with a sil/sil coating on both sides, light and packable but tough enough for regular use under a tarp.
  • Weight
    About 116g | 4.1 oz.

For extra protection, you can also connect the midpoints on each side to a point above and tension them. This takes two more cordlocks and two more mitten hooks, which aren't included.

Want some bug protection too? Add the Bug Canopy.

Rigging

The tub-floor is intended to be suspended from its top corners by clipping them out to your tarp's corners using the included rigging.

Overview

Included: Shock cord, tensionlocks, and mitten hooks

You'll attach rigging to the: top corners of the tub (4)

Cord length: For using the floor with a 1P Cirriform, cut the front cords (2) to about 36" and the rear cords to about 30". For other tarps, lay the floor under your pitched tarp. Then, measure the distance from the floor's corners to the tarp's associated corner. Cut the shock cord to about 70 - 90% of that length (the two front cords should be equal length, as should the two cords for the foot).

Install rigging at each corner
  • Using a girth hitch, install a tensionlock on the upper tie-out loop at each of the tub's corners.
  • Tie a mitten hook to the end of each cord. We like to use a clinch knot.
  • Thread the untied end of the shockcord through the tensioner as shown (first through the middle opening from bottom to top, then through the remaining hole from top to bottom).
  • Tie a loop in the untied end of the cord. We like to use an overhand loop knot.
  • Repeat at each corner
  • Note: The images below show the 1P Bug Shelter, but the process is the same.
